Our MDA Fill the Boot drive begins tomorrow and we are still looking for volunteers to assist. The more the better, as this is a busy corner and requires many individuals to operate it safely.

Details are as follows:

• Dates:
  • Monday 19th September (A-Shift on duty)
  • Tuesday 20th September (C-Shift on duty)
  • Wednesday 21st September (A-Shift on duty)
• Time: 3pm - 6pm each day
• Location meet up: Cedar & Edgewater near Fat Lorenzos - 5600 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55417
• Pizza provided afterwards at Fire Station One

Happy Friday MSP Airport Fire Department!

We are so excited for your boot drive this coming week! Thank you all in advance for going out to Fill the Boot and supporting our local families fighting back against Muscle Disease.

MDA is starting to recover from COVID and we are so thankful for you standing by our sides throughout all of this.

I wanted to share some highlights from the last few months:

• MDA Summer Camp was BACK this year. Kiddos from all over the state attended camp in August and had a great time! We hope to have Firefighter Day back next year!

• 17 new drugs approved to help treat different forms of Muscle Disease! THIS WOULDN’T HAPPEN WITHOUT YOU! I attached an updated sheet with info on those drugs.
• Families living healthier, stronger and longer lives and are thriving because of your hard work.
  • Please take a moment to watch this amazing video from our good friend Asher who just celebrated his 4^th birthday and is thriving despite having an SMA Type 1 diagnosis.
  • Asher’s Update  - YOU are making these hopes a reality for our families!
