Local S-6 Membership,
Please mark your calendars and save the date for this year's MDA Boot Camp. Location and schedule will be the same as in years past:
- Minnesota Fire Museum - 664 22nd Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418
- MN FIRE MUSEUM
- Thursday 30th April 2026 (B-Shift On Duty)
- Time 1300 - 1700
- Registration & Lunch @ 1300
- Meeting @ 1330
- Happy Hour & Twins Game @ 1700
Registration is now open and closes Friday 10th April 2026. However, as this is a popular event and fills up fast, I would encourage anyone interested to register as soon as possible.

Local S-6 Membership,
Please note there is a union meeting tomorrow, Saturday 10th January 2026, training room at Fire Station One @ 0745 sharp. A-Shift will be going off duty and B-Shift will be coming on duty. It's YOUR union... be involved!!!
Next month's union meeting... Saturday 14th February 2026. C-Shift will be going off duty and A-Shift will be coming on duty.

Driver Andrew Chandler will be sworn in as the new Local S-6 Secretary; Driver Chad Wade will be sworn in as the new Local S-6 Vice President at the February Union Meeting. Additionally, this will be Captain Dan Olson's last meeting as President as he's stepping down once our contract is signed. Please plan on attending to offer congratulations for our new and exiting elected officials. Godspeed.

IAFF Local S-6 would like to extend its deepest sympathies to retired member Paul Keller on the passing of his wife Karen. Paul served MSP Airport Fire from 1st April 1983, retiring 25th January 2000. Funeral details are attached:
KAREN KELLER - OBITUARY
Services will be held tomorrow, Friday 9th January at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Edward in Bloomington, with visitation one hour prior at 10:00 am. Burial at Fort Snelling will take place at a later date. Service livestream link:
