2020 Virtual Fill the Boot® Campaign for MDA

For 66 years the IAFF has been committed to supporting MDA. The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically effected fire fighters’ efforts to Fill the Boot in local communities across the country. Although many traditional Fill the Boot drives are on hiatus, MDA families are still counting on us this year. The IAFF & MDA’s Virtual Fill the Boot campaign has been designed to help us continue our support and raise these critically needed funds. The 5th District is excited to support this effort and we are asking all of you to participate.
The campaign launched on August 4th across the country. It is set up to be easy to use for every local & member to participate in across all social media platforms in an effort to appeal to family, friends, and your community.
The 5th District always does very well in their fundraising efforts for MDA and this year should be no different. In 2019 we raised just shy of $1M. We know you are all competitive, so below is the breakdown per state for 2019. Who will be the leader in 2020???

The boot may look different this year, but the goal is still the same. We know if we all join together we can make this virtual campaign a success. Please use this as an opportunity to have some fun, create state or local competitions amongst yourselves, engage your community and show everyone what the 5th District and Local S-6 members are made of!!!
